Tom Brady Returning Once Again to the Super Bowl
You just can’t keep the guy away.
After Tom Brady left the New England Patriots, there was sort of an unspoken assumption that we wouldn’t be seeing him at the Super Bowl again. The guy’s been in ten different Super Bowls over the last 19 years, double the appearances of any other Super Bowl mainstay. With his departure from the Patriots, it kinda seemed like a good time to let someone else have the spotlight, but I guess Brady’s just too good of a player.
Tom Brady is heading to Super Bowl LV next month alongside the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their major match against the Kansas City Chiefs. As an additional fun fact, since this game will be played in Tampa, this is the very first time a team will be playing the Super Bowl on their own home turf. That’s 55 years worth of exclusively away games. But enough about that, we’re talking about Tom Brady.
“I’m still trying to process everything. It’s pretty surreal,” Brady said on the Buccaneers’ bus during an interview with NBCSports’ Peter King.
After reaching the Super Bowl for the 10th time, @TomBrady went to the stands to greet and hug his son. ❤️

“It’s been an interesting life for me, you know?” he said. “I still get to do something I love to do and certainly don’t take anything for granted. Just grateful to everyone who supports me. And obviously my wife, my kids. Nobody can do anything in life without incredible support. Grateful to my parents, for being raised the right way. The commitment they showed. And my friends over the years. I think man, I’ve accomplished all of these things and I think for me the best part is sharing it with everybody else and just seeing videos of my kids jumping around and my friends jumping around. It makes it all so special for me and worth everything because I still get to live my dream. It’s an amazing feeling.”
The Buccaneers will be taking on the Chiefs in Tampa at Super Bowl LV on Sunday, February 7. In-person attendance at the game will be limited for the obvious reason, but I have a sneaking suspicion Brady will keep things plenty interesting for everyone watching at home.
