“Twilight” Fans Celebrate Stephanie Meyer’s New Announcement
Meyers is adding another book to the “Twilight” series
Last week author of the best-selling “Twilight” book series, Stephanie Meyer, announced a countdown on her website and fans speculated it was for the long-awaited prequel “Midnight Sun.” Fans and rumors were true, Stephanie Meyer announced she will be releasing “Midnight Sun” on August 4.
“Midnight Sun” is to be a prequel of the “Twilight” series from the perspective of brooding teen vampire, Edward Cullen. The “Twilight” series is based on the perspective of Bella’s story and now fans will get the chance to learn more about Edward’s history.

The original series follows a girl named Bella who falls in love with a vampire named Edward, four books and several movie adaptations later the fifth book will continue the popular series. Meyers started writing the first book as a writing exercise and Meyers spent 14 years on and off writing the book while working on other writing projects.
Meyers said it wasn’t easy to confirm the release date due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and made the release plans before the COVID-19 lockdown. One thing is for sure, fans can’t wait to get their hands on the new book.
