Ross and Rachel Always Know Just What to Do!

In a humorous twist that seems straight out of an alternate universe, Jennifer Aniston appears to have forgotten her “Friends” co-star David Schwimmer in a new Super Bowl LVIII ad. The ad, released on Tuesday, showcases Aniston, among others, going to great lengths to clear some space in her mind to remember that Uber Eats delivers more than just food.

As Schwimmer attempts to embrace her on a bustling Hollywood set, Aniston questions, “Have we met?” leaving Schwimmer taken aback by her apparent lapse in memory. Despite Schwimmer’s attempts to jog her memory by mentioning their decade-long collaboration, Aniston remains puzzled, prompting him to quip, “You still don’t remember, do you?”

Aniston’s response, “I hate this town,” as she walks away muttering about forgetting a decade of her life, adds to the hilarity of the situation. While the ad humorously portrays Aniston’s character forgetting her on-screen relationship with Schwimmer, viewers fondly recall their iconic roles as Ross Geller and Rachel Green in the beloved sitcom “Friends,” which aired from 1994 to 2004.

“Friends” followed the lives of six friends navigating work, relationships, and the everyday moments of life in New York City, starring Aniston, Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry.

Despite Aniston’s playful amnesia in the ad, the reunion between these two old friends is warmly welcomed, especially since their last on-screen appearance together during Max’s “Friends” reunion special in 2021. (Max and CNN share the same parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery.)

The Super Bowl LVIII ad campaign also features forgetful moments from Super Bowl Halftime Show performer Usher, musician Jelly Roll, and David and Victoria Beckham, adding to the entertainment and humor of the commercial series.
