The Royal Couple wish you a happy holiday.

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have had a bit of a bumpy year. Since backing away from the chaos of the Royal Family (the timing of which may have been fortuitous considering the ensuing popularity of The Crown), they’ve been repeatedly hounded by curious onlookers, as well as members of Harry’s family, all while trying to get themselves settled in California with their son, Archie. In spite of all the rigmarole, though, it seems they’ve still in good spirits, at least if their Christmas card is any indication.

The Royal Couple shared their family Christmas card online today, showcasing an absolutely delightful shot of them, Archie, and their two dogs, Pula and Guy, in front a newly-decorated backyard shed at their California home.

“The original photo of the family was taken at their home earlier this month by The Duchess’s mother,” a spokesperson for the couple told Entertainment Tonight. “The small Christmas tree, including the homemade ornaments and other decorations, were selected by Archie, and the tree will be replanted after the holidays.”

An especially lovely detail about this Christmas card is that it accompanies multiple charitable donations from the Royal Couple, the most prolific of which being for Mayhew, an organization that aids cats and dogs, as well as provides help to local communities with the ongoing pandemic.

“This year we, as a family, have made donations to several charities with you in mind,” Meghan wrote. “From a local California organization that helps families transition out of homelessness, to two of our U.K. patronages: one that supports animal and community welfare, and the other, a memorial fund for a cherished friend that helps to educate children and fight poverty in Uganda, we have honored their work on behalf of all of us.”

This is also the first time the public has gotten a look at Archie since May. Unsurprisingly, his bright red hair is the spitting image of his dad’s.
