The experience is a little too strange for the former Game of Thrones star.

Actress Emilia Clarke is best known for her starring role as Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. As one of the series major characters, Clarke kept up to date with the show’s nearly 10-year run, watching every episode. However, with Game of Thrones over and House of the Dragon taking over, is she still on board? Turns out the answer is no.

In a recent interview with Variety, Clarke said that she has not seen House of the Dragon, and that she has no intention of watching it. It’s not out of any negative feelings; she’s extremely happy for the cast of the show and its critical reception. The problem is that watching the show is, in her words, a little too weird.

“It’s too weird. I’m so happy it’s happening. I’m over the moon about all the awards … I just can’t do it. It’s so weird. It’s so strange,” Clarke said.

“It’s kind of like someone saying, ‘You want to go to this school reunion that’s not your year? Want to go to that school reunion?’ That’s how it feels. I’m avoiding it.”
