Unanimous Media, founded by NBA superstar Steph Curry, and Andscape are teaming up with ESPNU and ESPN+ to present “Why Not Us: Howard Golf.” This eight-part docuseries offers a unique glimpse into the Howard Bison golf team, showcasing the journey of an emerging Division I program at a prestigious Historically Black College and University (HBCU).

“Why Not Us: Howard Golf” intimately follows both men’s and women’s golf teams at Howard University. The series captures the challenges and triumphs these student-athletes and coaches encounter as they work towards building a golf legacy that drives change within the sport. With Stephen Curry’s support, the teams aim to compete for championships in top college tournaments nationwide.

The series provides an inside look at the recent successes of the Howard golf team, including the men’s team securing victory at the PGA Works Collegiate Championship and the recognition of three women from the women’s team on the Women’s Golf Coaches Association’s All-American Scholar Team.

ESPNU will broadcast the eight episodes on three consecutive Saturdays. Episodes 1-4 will air on August 21, followed by Episodes 3-6 on August 28, and conclude with Episodes 5-8 on September 4. All episodes will air at 7 p.m. Eastern time. Additionally, ESPN+ subscribers can stream all episodes as they become available.

The collaboration highlights ESPN’s commitment to spotlighting Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This initiative is complemented by ESPN’s recent plans to host the Band of the Year competition during the annual Cricket Celebration Bowl in Atlanta.
