Sports Teams Turn Dua Lipa Into a Meme Sensation

It can only happen on the internet that one minute you just post a casual selfie, and the next minute you become the star of every sports team’s social media feed. That’s exactly what happened to Dua Lipa’s selfie. Honestly, this is hilarious.

So here’s what went down. Dua posted this super normal mirror selfie wearing a plain white t-shirt. Nothing fancy, just a typical “hey, I look cute today” kind of post. But then her fans got their hands on some AI editing tools and thought, “What if we put her in our team’s jersey?”

And boy, did they go wild with it.

Bayern Munich was probably the first big team to jump on the trend. They shared an edit of Dua rocking their red jersey with a caption: “Red suits you perfectly, Dua!” Classic style of flirting from a football club, if you ask me.

One of the most talked-about edits came from Palestinian supporters. They put Dua in a Palestine national team jersey, with the caption “Keffiyeh is definitely your color, @DUALIPA.” This one hit differently. The reason is Dua Lipa’s supportive remarks on Palestinian issues before.
