Sydney Sweeney, once seen as one of the fastest-rising stars, is now facing rumors that she might be going on Hollywood’s blacklist. The Euphoria actress has been suffering after several controversies. Insiders say it’s starting to affect how she’s seen in the spotlight.
Things took a turn when the American Eagle ad campaign of Sydney Sweeney stirred backlash online. Soon after, her name emerged in another controversy when she was linked to Scooter Braun, who has been in a long feud with the pop star, Taylor Swift. That relationship talk alone was enough to raise a lot of eyebrows.
Her appearance at the Emmys also added more fuel to public discussion. According to a Hollywood insider, Sydney felt out of place at the ceremony, calling the event “too woke” for her liking.
“She’s never hidden her views, but she’s also not the type to make a big scene about them,” Insider explained. “Hollywood still loves her – she was picked to present an award, but the feeling backstage was she was a bit out of place and looking a little lost. She certainly wasn’t the most popular girl there, like she’s used to.”
Above all, her recent films haven’t done Sydney any favors. Both Americana and Eden failed to pull crowds to theaters. It has left people wondering if she is on Hollywood’s blacklist.
Meanwhile, her rumored romance with Braun is making headlines. The two reportedly first met at Jeff Bezos’ wedding and were later spotted celebrating her birthday together at Lake Powell.
