Word first got out on August 19, when a friend of Lee’s posted celebration photos on Instagram Stories — Lee in a veil and a “Bride to Be” sash, flashing a serious diamond. But it wasn’t until Lee sat down with Vogue over a week later that fans learned what actually happened behind the scenes.

Before he ever got down on one knee, Post turned his Utah ranch into a mini petting zoo, welcoming Lee with a baby Highland cow, a few bunnies, and some chickens. From there, the night moved into an outdoor dinner — one that just so happened to include Lee’s parents and a close circle of friends who’d flown in and were quietly waiting to celebrate with the newly engaged couple. Lee has described the whole evening as unusually personal and intimate, right down to the setting itself.

The Ring Took Months of Planning

Here’s the part that’s got people talking: Post reportedly spent months feeling out what kind of ring Lee actually wanted, dropping “hypothetical” questions about cuts and styles into everyday conversation without tipping his hand. He then worked with a jeweler to build a custom piece around her answers — landing on a natural oval-cut diamond set on a simple gold band. Outside estimates on the exact carat weight have varied, but at least one jewelry expert who reviewed photos of the ring pegged its value in the neighborhood of seven figures.

A Second Chapter for Post

This engagement caps off a winding love story. Post and Lee were first spotted together in early 2025, not long after his previous engagement — to Hee Sung “Jamie” Park, mother of his young daughter — had quietly ended. The pair went through a rocky patch and briefly appeared to split before reconciling and stepping out together again earlier this year. Now, roughly a year and a half after they first went public, they’re planning a future together.
