Taylor Swift Surprise-Releasing Concert Film
Folklore is coming to Disney+ tonight.
Taylor Swift has been quite the mischievous one lately, hasn’t she? Back in July, she announced her newest album, “Folklore,” and then released it at midnight the same day. She said at the time that with the pandemic stressing everyone out, she wanted to release her newest batch of songs and give everyone something to smile about. It worked pretty well; the reception on social media was off the charts, and the album itself sold gangbusters. Since everyone is still pretty stressed these days, Swift has decided to give us another surprise shot of good vibes.
On her Twitter this morning, Swift announced that concert film for the “Folklore” album, aptly titled Folklore, will be releasing tonight at midnight, streaming exclusively on Disney+. The concert film shows Swift and her collaborators performing every song on the album in a cozy cabin setting, as well as behind-the-scenes interviews that explain the origins of each song.
Well it’s 11/24 and 24-11=13 so I’ve got an announcement 🤓 You haven’t seen this film before ✨ folklore: the long pond studio sessions will be out tonight at midnight PST on @DisneyPlus! #folkloreOnDisneyPlus pic.twitter.com/BTWSRM0yaI

Interestingly, this production was apparently the very first time that Swift and two of her collaborators, Jack Antonoff, and Aaron Dessner, met in person. While making the “Folklore” album, they were unable to meet up due to travel restrictions imposed due to the pandemic, and so they communicated exclusively through texting and voice messages. Justin Vernon, who worked with Swift on the production of “Exile,” will also be appearing in the film.
Folklore we be available tonight at midnight Pacific time on Disney+.
