Remember the good ol’ days when Drake & Josh made you laugh with its ridiculous sibling rivalry and hilarious antics? Well, it turns out, Drake Bell has a pretty wild idea for bringing the show back—and it’s not just a simple reboot. He’s talking about a Curb Your Enthusiasm-style revamp where he and Josh Peck would play exaggerated versions of themselves trying to figure out adult life while still dealing with each other’s quirks. And we’re 100% here for it.

Drake & Josh: The Adult Edition

In a recent interview on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, Drake Bell spilled the beans on his dream Drake & Josh revival. But here’s the kicker—it’s not going to be the same old sitcom formula. According to Bell, he wants to revisit the duo’s dynamic, but with a twist. He envisions them as adults navigating modern life, much like Larry David’s awkward, hilarious encounters on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

“We’d play ourselves, but trying to navigate life today. Maybe I’m trying to get Josh back into something, and he’s like, ‘Dude, you’re so annoying, get away,’” Bell said, painting a pretty hilarious picture of the potential new show. It’s a unique blend of reality and comedy, and we can’t help but imagine all the cringe-worthy moments that would come from it.

All the Classic Characters, Too!

But don’t worry, Bell isn’t just focused on himself and Josh. He’s got big plans for the rest of the Drake & Josh crew, too. From Crazy Steve to Megan, he wants everyone back. Imagine Crazy Steve as an adult, still causing mayhem but with even more of an over-the-top persona. Or what if Helen (Yvette Nicole Brown) still runs the local coffee shop with sass and sarcasm? Bell is all about bringing the gang together again, and honestly, we couldn’t be more excited.

“It’d be really cool to bring back Crazy Steve, Helen, Craig, Eric, Audrey, Walter, and Megan,” he said. Who doesn’t want to see those familiar faces once again? The wacky family dynamic would be even funnier as they all deal with life after their teenage years.

What Would This Reboot Be About?

So what kind of storyline would this reboot have? Picture this: Drake and Josh, now adults, trying to juggle their personal lives, careers, and the ever-present sibling rivalry. There’d be awkward situations galore, with the brothers still managing to annoy the heck out of each other but also dealing with the challenges of being in your 30s—like paying bills, struggling with adulthood, and just generally figuring life out. It’s like the Drake & Josh we all loved, but with a big, hilarious dose of awkward adulting.

Bell has expressed his desire to make this reboot feel fresh, unique, and a bit out of the ordinary. “I think it’d be more interesting to do something different,” he told a local news outlet. And we agree! While the original Drake & Josh is iconic, a new approach that’s a little more unconventional sounds pretty fun.

Could This Actually Happen?

While this whole Curb Your Enthusiasm-meets-Drake & Josh idea might sound like a pipe dream, there’s a chance we could see it happen. Nickelodeon has already revived several of its classic shows, like Good Burger and Zoey 101. So who’s to say that Drake & Josh isn’t next? We’d love to see Drake and Josh navigating adulthood and still driving each other crazy.

If this reboot happens, we can only imagine the awkward, hilarious situations Bell and Peck would find themselves in. One thing’s for sure: it would be anything but ordinary.
