Ozzy Osbourne Updates Fans After Surgery
Ozzy is resting comfortably at home after a successful surgery.
Last week, Sharon Osbourne, wife to legendary Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, announced online that Ozzy would be undergoing a major surgical procedure this week. While Sharon did not reveal the precise nature of the surgery, she did say that it would “determine the rest of his life.”
Ozzy underwent his surgery on Monday, stayed in the hospital for two days afterward, and returned home on Wednesday. That day, Ozzy tweeted from home to assure fans that he was doing okay. “I am now home from the hospital recuperating comfortably,” Ozzy wrote. “I am definitely feeling the love and support from all my fans and send everyone a big thank you for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery.”
Sharon added some words of gratitude of her own on her own Twitter. “Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery!” she wrote. “Ozzy is doing well and on the road to recovery!”
“Your love means the world to him.”

At age 73, it’s no secret that Ozzy’s health isn’t the best. Even before this most recent procedure, he has had multiple health complications and procedures over the years, including hand surgery in 2018, a severe respiratory infection and neck surgery in 2019, and COVID-19 this past April. He also revealed in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 2003.
