Nicki Minaj, the Queen of Rap, faced an unexpected disruption in her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. The rapper’s second concert in Amsterdam has been canceled after she was briefly detained at a Dutch airport for alleged possession of marijuana.

Last Saturday, Minaj was held by police at an airport in the Netherlands. Reports indicate that marijuana was found in her luggage, leading to her detention. This incident resulted in the cancellation of her highly anticipated second performance at the Ziggo Dome.

“Due to the events of last week, the Nicki Minaj show on Sunday, 2nd June at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam will no longer be taking place,” Dutch promoter Mojo announced on its website today. “Tickets will be refunded at the point of sale.”

Minaj, who is known for her bold and outspoken persona, took to social media to document her arrest. She claimed that Dutch authorities took her luggage without consent and alleged that they were trying to prevent her from reaching Manchester, the next stop on her tour. “This is Amsterdam btw, where weed is legal,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter), repeatedly denying the allegations.

Despite the legal trouble, Minaj’s fans have shown overwhelming support. Many took to social media to express their disappointment over the canceled show and to stand by the rapper during this challenging time.

Minaj was en route to Manchester when the incident occurred. The concert in Manchester was postponed due to the legal issues stemming from her detention. Minaj’s legal team is reportedly working to resolve the situation swiftly, allowing the tour to continue as planned.

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour has been a major event, with sold-out shows and enthusiastic fans across the globe. This unexpected hurdle in Amsterdam has not dampened the spirit of the tour, and Minaj is determined to get back on stage as soon as possible.
