In hindsight, it’s kind of amazing Mike Tyson never got into pro wrestling.

If you recall, Mike Tyson recently started hyping himself up on Instagram, saying that he’s getting back into the game. Now, understandably, we were all assuming he meant he’d get back into boxing, which is, y’know, his thing. However, what I don’t think anyone anticipated was him getting in the pro wrestling ring to tick off Chris Jericho. Honestly, I kind of wish I had anticipated that, because it’s awesome.

Yesterday, All Elite Wrestling held its weekly segment, Dynamite, and at the end of the show, headliner Jericho and his buddies stopped into the ring for some champagne. It’s a thing he does. However, when they opened the boxes, they found not a single bottle. Who could’ve taken it? Why, none other than Mike Tyson and his own crew, who sauntered into the ring like they owned the place. They stared each other down, Jericho demanded an apology, Tyson (somewhat clumsily) tore his shirt off, and the whole thing devolved into a big ol’ punch-up.

Now, obviously, wrestling and its feuds are completely fake. This is common knowledge. But you can’t deny, it’s pretty great entertainment. It’s so great, in fact, that instead of leaving this little altercation as a one-and-done affair, AEW teased a continuation to this newborn feud on their social media.

This actually wouldn’t be the first time Tyson and Jericho butted heads. Back in 2010, when Jericho was still with WWE, Tyson was brought on as his guest tag-team partner for a Raw match. Near the end of the fight, though, Tyson turned heel and knocked Jericho on his butt with one of his signature punches, and apparently they’ve been on the outs ever since (fictionally, of course).
