Who doesn’t want a beautiful view with a famous host?

New Year’s Eve in Times Square is one of the biggest, most heavily publicized television events of the holiday season. I dare you to find me someone who doesn’t love watching that big sparkly ball drop every year. Of course, with the pandemic in mind, this year’s festivities are set to be a little more subdued, with the event being an exclusively TV affair instead of the usual public bash in the streets. But if you’re exceptionally lucky, you could still attend the celebration in person, and in true style and luxury.

Airbnb is setting up an incredible New Year’s Eve experience for a single lucky couple in the New York City area. On the terrace of the Nasdaq building, they’ve constructed a geodesic dome containing a cozy bedroom lounge. This dome will have a front-row seat to this year’s New Year’s Eve Ball, but that’s not the coolest part. Your host for this one-night vacation will be none other than the Christmas queen herself, Mariah Carey, who will personally welcome you when you arrive (via video call, for safety purposes), and will be available to serenade you all night.

In addition to the viewing dome, the renters will have access to an indoor lounge, featuring a separate bedroom if it’s too cold outside, dinner and drinks provided by a private chef, and a TV tuned into New Year’s celebrations all over the world. The renters will also receive $5,000 in store credit for trendy locations around Times Square and Fifth Avenue.

So what does one have to pay to get this incredible experience? Surely it must cost an arm and a leg, right? Nope, this fantastic evening could be yours for a paltry $21. However, if you want it, you’ll have to fight for it. There’s only one listing, and it’ll be first-come-first-served when it goes live on December 21 at 9 AM Eastern time. You’ll need to provide proof that you’re an NYC resident, as well as proof that neither you nor anyone in your household has contracted COVID-19.
