Margot Robbie Announces First Pregnancy with Husband Tom Ackerley

Margot Robbie, renowned for her roles in major films such as Barbie, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Suicide Squad, is set to embark on a new and exciting chapter as she prepares for motherhood. The 34-year-old actress and producer is expecting her first child with her husband, Tom Ackerley.

Robbie was recently seen with a noticeable baby bump while in Italy, and multiple sources have confirmed to PEOPLE that she and Ackerley, who is also 34, are expecting their first child together. Representatives for Robbie have not yet responded to requests for comment from Entertainment Weekly.

Robbie and Ackerley first met on the set of the romantic drama Suite Française in 2013, where Ackerley worked as an assistant director and Robbie was part of the cast alongside Michelle Williams and Kristin Scott Thomas. The couple married three years later and co-founded the production company LuckyChap Entertainment. Their company has been behind successful films including Promising Young Woman, Saltburn, and Barbie.

Though the couple tends to keep their personal lives private, Ackerley recently shared insights about their relationship in an interview with the Sunday Times. He noted that blending their business and personal lives is “seamless,” as they spend “24 hours a day” together. “We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off,” Ackerley explained. “It’s all become one thing.”

Robbie has previously expressed her desire for a large family, sharing in a 2016 interview with the Daily Telegraph that growing up in a family of four children made her view that as a good number. “We’ll see what happens; no time soon,” she said at the time, indicating her plans to focus on her family later.

The couple’s exciting news comes as they continue to make headlines in their professional and personal lives. Robbie and Ackerley are eagerly anticipating their new role as parents.
