Cristiano Ronaldo Selected for Portugal’s Euro 2024 Squad
Portugal’s national football team has officially announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will be part of the squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024. The 39-year-old forward, currently playing for Al-Nassr, is set to make his 11th appearance in a major international tournament, continuing his illustrious career in football.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the most capped player in international football history with 206 appearances and 128 goals, remains a pivotal figure for Portugal. His inclusion in the Euro 2024 squad reinforces his status as one of the sport’s most enduring talents. Ronaldo first appeared in the European Championship in 2004 and has since achieved significant milestones, including winning the UEFA Euro 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2018–19. He also secured the golden boot at Euro 2020 with five goals.

Midfielders in the squad are Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Joao Neves (Benfica), Joao Palhinha (Fulham), Otavio Monteiro (Al Nassr), Ruben Neves (Al-Hilal), and Vitinha (PSG). The forward players include Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Cristiano Ronaldo (Al Nassr), Diogo Jota (Liverpool), Francisco Conceicao (Porto), Goncalo Ramos (PSG), Joao Felix (Barcelona), Pedro Neto (Wolves), and Rafael Leao (AC Milan).
Portugal will face the Czech Republic in their Group F opener on June 18, followed by matches against Turkey and Georgia. The team’s preparation and squad depth will be critical as they aim for another successful campaign in the European Championship.
