Will Ferrell Once Embarrassed His Son at Prom by Dressing Up as a Medieval Lord
A Comedian on Screen and IRL!
No major event will ever prevent Will Ferrell from embarrassing his kids. The comedic actor, known for his roles in “Step Brothers” and “Anchorman,” once took his playful antics to a new level by dressing up as a medieval lord for his son Magnus’s prom.
Magnus Ferrell recently shared this hilarious moment on TikTok, where he posted a slideshow rating various things his dad has done throughout his life. In the slideshow, he revealed that his dad is none other than the famous Will Ferrell. The second slide featured a snapshot of the pair together, with Magnus in a gray suit and Will dressed head to toe in medieval garb, complete with a squire’s cap and a frilly ruff around his neck. “Dressed as a medieval lord to embarrass me at prom,” Magnus wrote, rating the incident “10000/10.” The 20-year-old simply captioned the post, “True story.”
The TikTok post quickly garnered attention, with viewers flooding the comments section in surprise upon realizing Magnus is the son of the “Anchorman” actor. One commenter wrote, “I was like ‘wait, is that Will Ferrell… OMG HE HAS KIDS?’” Magnus humorously replied, “He doesn’t, that’s Chad Smith,” referencing the running joke between Ferrell and Chad Smith, the drummer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, about their striking resemblance.
Another user noted that Will’s outfit wasn’t embarrassing, stating, “Will Ferrell at your prom is awesome, if anything the fit makes it better.” Magnus responded, “NO, I meant like I loved it!” When a third person complimented Will’s medieval wardrobe, Magnus added, “That’s why it was so embarrassing, cause it looked good.”
This isn’t the first time Will Ferrell has used his comedic timing to keep his kids on their toes. Last October, the “SNL” alum DJ’d a frat party at the University of Southern California, where Magnus currently studies, ahead of the school’s football game against the University of Arizona Wildcats during Trojan Family Weekend. In video footage from the event, Will could be seen energetically bouncing behind the DJ deck, playing a series of popular tunes including Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “N—-s in Paris” and Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger.”
Will Ferrell’s antics continue to endear him to fans and family alike, proving that even in the most embarrassing moments, he can bring joy and laughter to those around him.
