Dollywood – What Makes it so Amazing?

Music legend Dolly Parton, also named one of National Geographic’s 2024 Travelers of the Year, spilled the beans on why Dollywood Theme Park is unique and talked about her love for the park’s surroundings.

Dollywood sits in the stunning Smoky Mountains, and Parton thinks it’s in the perfect spot. The 78-year-old singer is thankful for the beautiful mountains outside every window, saying they give her all the inspiration she needs. She explained that what sets Dollywood apart is not just the rides but also the friendly folks working there.

“We’re different from other parks worldwide because we’re right by the most-visited national park in the country. So, we use what we have from God, like the Smokies and our amazing staff, to make dreams come true for our guests,” shared Parton.

Apart from Dollywood, Parton also spoke about her love for traveling. Her traveling advice is simple: “Be kind to others like you’d want them to be kind to you.” She enjoys road trips a lot because they let her see places differently compared to flying.

“Flying is cool as it takes us to many places, but there’s something special about hitting the road. It really gets my creative juices flowing,” added the singer, appreciating the simplicity and joy of a road trip.
