Vinicius Jr. Expresses Desire to ‘Stay At Real Madrid Forever’ After Stunning Hat Trick Against Borussia Dortmund
Following an electrifying hat trick in Real Madrid’s 5-2 comeback victory against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, Vinicius Jr. made it clear that his future lies firmly with the club. The Brazilian sensation expressed his deep desire to “stay at Real Madrid forever” in a post-match interview, dispelling any rumors of a possible move abroad.
On Matchday 3, Real Madrid found themselves trailing 2-0 at halftime against their 2023/2024 final opponents, Borussia Dortmund, at the Santiago Bernabéu. Yet, Los Blancos mounted a spectacular second-half comeback, with Vinicius Jr. leading the charge by scoring three crucial goals that sealed the victory.
In a pitchside interview with Movistar, Vinicius Jr. reflected on the team’s resilience and the key to their success, explaining, “In our house and with our fans, anything can happen. When we got to the locker room [at halftime], we only listened to the coach and said one thing: ‘If we score first, we will come back again.'”
He also emphasized the importance of belief and unity within the team, adding, “We’re looking at how we’re going to play, and the coach wants to make the games easier for us. In the second half, we changed the formation and the dynamic. It’s our competition, and we want to win it again.”
Despite ongoing speculation linking him with a potential move to Saudi Arabia, where clubs like Al-Ahli are reportedly prepared to break the world transfer record, Vinicius reassured fans of his loyalty to Real Madrid. “I still have four years left on my contract, and I want to continue forever with Real Madrid,” he affirmed.
When asked about his prospects for winning the prestigious Ballon d’Or, which is set to be awarded in Paris next week, Vinicius remained humble. “I leave that to the people,” he said. “They can say what they want, I’m happy when the fans sing my name.”
Looking ahead, Vinicius Jr. and Real Madrid now turn their focus to the highly anticipated El Clásico against arch-rivals FC Barcelona this weekend.
