The US Open gave fans many big rallies and shocking upsets this year. However, one of the sweetest moments actually happened off the court.

Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak has gone viral after he met a young fan who missed out on a special gift in the stands. Right after winning the second round, Majchrzak tried to give his cap to a boy in the crowd. But before the boy could take it, a man standing nearby grabbed it and placed it in his bag like nothing had happened.

The video of the boy’s emotional face quickly spread across social media. People everywhere called it an unfair moment. Majchrzak, who hadn’t noticed at first, saw the clip later and appealed to his followers on social media to help him find that young fan.

Fortunately, the internet delivered. Soon, the tennis star met the boy (whose name was Brock) and gave him the cap he truly deserved. Majchrzak also posted a happy photo with Brock smiling in his new cap, writing:

“Hello world, together with Brock we wish you a great day!”

Fans loved it, and the story has now become one of the sweetest highlights of the tournament.

Majchrzak, who is ranked 79 in the world, already made headlines by beating ninth seed Karen Khachanov in a thrilling comeback match. However, this sweet off-court gesture has actually made him a true fan favorite.
