More people are turning to online dating while having to stay home during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The parent company of Tinder, Match Group, says that there is an all-time high in swipes and matches.
Tinder wants to expand its app to support more online dating with a video-chat function. Match just announced its earnings release and its plans to release a one-on-one video-chat feature by the end of the year.

Match has yet to reveal many details on this new venture but integrating a video-chat feature that screens for harassment can prove to be challenging. Experts are speculating that Match will look into a third party offensive image detection system or possibly build their own.
Match says they don’t know what the future of relationships will hold surrounding COVID-19 and innovations in technology but they hope to provide singles the chance to explore new relationships.
