Contestants from all over the country are invited to come on down.

The Price is Right is one of the most enduring daytime game shows on American television, with the first season debuting on NBC back in 1956 and going strong since. Its staples have become common imagery in pop culture, from Plinko to the iconic loser horn sound. This year marks the show’s 50th season, and to celebrate, The Price is Right is going on the road.

Yesterday, CBS announced the “Come On Down Tour,” a live, touring version of The Price is Right that will be visiting numerous major American cities and inviting locals to play the game. This is CBS’s way of celebrating the 50th season, bringing people closer to their favorite game show, and showing some extra support for local businesses and economies during a rough economic period. Participants can win all manner of prizes, including cash and prize bundles, as well as a grand prize of $50,000.

“I think that’s the great thing about the show. It’s able to, within a framework, evolve,” The Price is Right host Drew Carey told the Associated Press. “There’s a lot of old houses where you remodeled the kitchen and remodeled the living room, and it’s still the same house.”

The tour will kick off this Friday, March 25, with the first stop in Los Angeles at the Santa Monica Pier. Stops in other major cities and landmarks, such as New York City, New Orleans, Dallas, and more will follow.
