Shaquille O’Neal is proving once again that his heart might be even bigger than his legendary size. After wrapping up another unforgettable year of his beloved Shaq-A-Claus holiday celebration, the NBA Hall of Famer is already setting his sights on something massive — taking the joy to all 50 states.
Speaking with Courtney and Babcock on TMZ Live from Georgia, Shaq shared his bold vision while surrounded by hundreds of smiling kids enjoying free toys, special experiences, and plenty of holiday cheer. Now in its 24th year, Shaq-A-Claus has become a holiday tradition, but for Shaq, “good enough” has never been enough.
“I want to get 50 of my biggest friends, and they just take care of where they’re from,” Shaq said, outlining his dream of a nationwide Shaq-A-Thon that would spread kindness from coast to coast.
Known around the world for his generosity, Shaq explained that his motivation goes deeper than public praise. For him, giving back is personal — and deeply rooted in family values.
“Some people call this giving — I call it doing what my mother started, and what she told me to do,” O’Neal shared. “A lot of kids look up to me. I’m still amazed that I haven’t played basketball in 50 years and kids still look up to me.”
Shaq credits his parents for keeping him grounded and grateful, reminding him daily of how fortunate he is to live the American dream — and how important it is to share that fortune with others.
The conversation didn’t stop at heartfelt moments. Fans will also want to catch the lighter side of Shaq, including a surprise spelling bee challenge that hilariously raised the stakes with a luxury car on the line — courtesy of Diesel himself.
With a vision this big, it’s clear Shaq-A-Claus is just getting started. If Shaq has his way, soon every state will feel the magic — one generous moment at a time.
