Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Denounces Federal Raids on His Homes as “Gross Overuse of Force”
Sean “Diddy” Combs has broken his silence following federal agents’ raids on his residences in Los Angeles and Miami, denouncing the searches as a “gross overuse of military-level force” in a statement provided by his attorney, Aaron Dyer.
Dyer criticized the excessive show of force during the execution of search warrants, emphasizing that Combs maintains his innocence and cooperated with authorities. He highlighted that neither Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested or faced travel restrictions, refuting media speculation.
The attorney condemned the raids as an “unprecedented ambush” and suggested they were part of a coordinated effort to rush to judgment based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. Dyer underscored that there has been no finding of criminal or civil liability against Combs and affirmed his client’s determination to clear his name.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) confirmed their involvement in the raids, citing an ongoing investigation. The searches were reportedly linked to an investigation into sex trafficking, as per unspecified law enforcement officials cited by the Associated Press.
These raids come in the midst of multiple lawsuits accusing Combs of rape, sex trafficking, and other abuses. Notably, R&B singer Cassie sued Combs in November, alleging sexual assault and years of physical abuse and controlling behavior. While Combs has consistently denied the allegations, the lawsuits continue to cast a shadow over his reputation.
