Pamela Anderson calls Liam Neeson her “forever friend” but is there something more behind the smiles?
Is something brewing between The Naked Gun co-stars Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson? That’s the big question fans are asking after the duo was seen sharing sweet moments while promoting their upcoming comedy.
A source close to the film says their connection might be more than just professional. “It’s a budding romance in the early stages,” the insider told PEOPLE. “It’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other.” From the way they’ve been acting on camera and at events, it sure seems that way.
The two actors have been spotted sharing laughs, flirty smiles, and even a few cheeky moments. During their appearance on the Today show, they jokingly pretended to get caught making out on live TV, adding fuel to the dating rumors. Just days before that, Pamela gave Liam a sweet kiss on the cheek during the London premiere on July 22.
So far, reps for Paramount, Anderson, and Neeson haven’t responded to media questions. However, fans are already loving the idea of a real-life romance between the stars.
In The Naked Gun, Liam plays Frank Drebin Jr., a detective investigating the mysterious death of a tech programmer. Pamela takes on the role of Beth, the sister of the deceased. As they search for the truth, their characters begin to fall for each other. It’s a classic rom-com setup with a lot of laughs.
Behind the scenes, the actors also had great things to say about one another. Pamela admitted that she was nervous to meet Liam but said he made her feel safe and free. Liam was equally impressed, praising her humor and charm. “She embraced the silliness and had this adorable, quirky energy,” he said.
The two also found common ground in their love for books and good food. Pamela would even leave baked goods in Liam’s trailer and host dinner nights with him and their assistants.
Catch their on-screen chemistry when The Naked Gun hits theaters on August 1.
