The world’s greatest archer comes to Disney+ in November.

Marvel and Disney have been absolutely on fire with their MCU series on Disney+. Wandavision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki have all brought in millions of new subscribers to the service, not to mention made both companies millions of dollars in merchandising. Wandavision in particular was nominated for 23 Emmys, taking home Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-Hour) and Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes. With the holiday season fast approaching, it’s almost time to see if Disney and Marvel can hit the bullseye again with their next outing, Hawkeye.

Today, Marvel and Disney released the first trailer for the long-rumored Hawkeye Disney+ series, following the life of the world’s greatest archer, Clint Barton (played by Jeremy Renner), after the events of Avengers: Endgame. As was the case with the other Disney+ series, Hawkeye will focus on the rippling effects of Clint’s family being wiped away by Thanos, his brief stint as the vigilante Ronin, and his family’s subsequent return. Clint wants to spend Christmas with the family he’s missed so much, but someone else has adopted the Ronin persona, forcing him to intervene. As it turns out, this someone is Kate Bishop (played by Hailee Steinfeld), an archer with skills equaling Clint’s own who has followed his superhero career since the beginning.

Hawkeye will also feature appearances by Florence Pugh, fresh off her role as Yelena Belova in Black Widow, as well as Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Vera Farmiga, Alaqua Cox and Zahn McClarnon. Alaqua Cox in particular will be playing Maya Lopez, also known as the superhero Echo, who is slated to have her own Disney+ series later down the line. For now, Hawkeye is scheduled to start streaming on November 24 with a six-episode run.
