Marlon Wayans Promises Big Laughs in Scary Movie 6 Parodies

Get ready to laugh and scream all over again because Marlon Wayans is officially bringing Scary Movie back! The comedian, who started the hit spoof franchise with his brothers Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans, is working on Scary Movie 6, and he’s already teasing which horror films will get roasted this time around.

Talking to Comicbook.com, Wayans dropped a few names fans will definitely recognize. “I Know What You Did Last Summer may have something in there. I think the Scream franchise is always a great one,” he said. But he’s not stopping there.

But he’s not stopping here. Wayans also teased that Scary Movie 6 will poke fun at modern horror standouts like Heretic, Longlegs, Get Out, and Nope. He teased, “There are just so many great horror films to pull from that we plan on having a field day.”

And here’s the part longtime fans will love for sure. It is now confirmed that Regina Hall and Anna Faris will return as Brenda and Cindy. The duo became fan favorites back in the early 2000s. Now, fans are super excited to see them alongside the Wayans brothers for crazy fun.

The first Scary Movie, released in 2000, was an extraordinary box office success. It pulled in $278 million worldwide. The series went on to spoof everything from The Exorcist to Mission: Impossible. Now, after nearly 20 years, the Wayans are back in action and ready to revive the franchise with fresh enthusiasm.

Scary Movie 6 is set to hit theaters on June 12, 2026.
