And he couldn’t be any happier.

When I was a kid, Justin Timberlake was always just “that guy in N’SYNC” to me. As I got older and started paying better attention to the entertainment scene, I realized that he’s so much more than that. He’s a musician, a dancer, a hilarious actor and writer, and just a generally cool guy. Whenever something good happens to him, I always feel a little spot of happiness, ’cause he’s come a pretty long way. And as far as nice things go, it doesn’t get much nicer than a bouncing baby boy.

As divulged in a preview of today’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Timberlake appeared for an interview via video call. DeGeneres is a close friend of Timberlake’s, and as such, she was one of the first to receive the good news: Timberlake and his wife of nine years, Jessica Biel, have had their second child, a baby boy.

“His name is Phineas and he’s awesome. And he’s so cute. And nobody’s sleeping. But we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier, very grateful,” Timberlake gushed.

DeGeneres reminisced about when she first heard that Biel was expecting, saying that at the time she told Timberlake “You’re a dad again, you have another little child.”

Newborn Phineas will be joining Timberlake’s other son, five-year-old Silas, in a wonderfully loving celebrity family. Good on you, Justin! One more scoop of happiness for the guy who deserves every last bit of it.
