The famous comedian, actor, and father has died.

Jerry Stiller, a veteran actor most well-known for his roles as Frank Costanza on Seinfeld and Arthur Spooner on The King of Queens, passed away last night from natural causes. The death was announced by Stiller’s son, actor and director Ben Stiller, on his Twitter.

“He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years.” Ben Stiller’s Tweet read.

Jerry Stiller had a very distinctive voice to his characters, often portraying them as gruff, no-nonsense older men who would blurt out things you wouldn’t expect to hear from men at that age. He previously shared a screen with his son in 2001’s Zoolander, playing the manager to Ben Stiller’s character Dereck Zoolander. Stiller would also appear in both film adaptations of the play Hairspray in 1988 and 2007.

In addition to his comedic television ventures, Stiller had experience as a Broadway performer, becoming a popular comedy duo with his late wife Anne Meara, landing regular appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show in the 1960s. Meara passed in 2015 at age 85, after which Stiller wrote a book about his life with her titled “Married to Laughter.”

At time of writing, the phrase “serenity now” is trending on Twitter at 12.2K Tweets, a reference to an episode of Seinfeld in which Stiller’s character would shout the phrase in order to alleviate his anger issues. Jerry Stiller’s name itself is trending at #1 with 184K Tweets.
