Marco Troper, son of Susan Wojcicki, the former CEO of YouTube, was found unresponsive at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a student. At 19, Marco’s life was tragically cut short.

A representative from the university confirmed the incident, stating that Marco, who lived in a student housing complex, was found unresponsive. Despite efforts from the Berkeley Fire Department, he could not be revived. There were no signs of foul play, and an investigation is ongoing.

Esther Wojcicki, Marco’s grandmother, shared the family’s grief in a heartfelt Facebook post. She described Marco as a loving, intelligent, and fun person who had just begun his second semester as a math major at UC Berkeley. He had a close-knit community of friends and was thriving academically.

Marco leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, father, Dennis Troper, and four siblings. The cause of his death has not been disclosed, but the family is overwhelmed with sorrow at the loss of such a young and promising life.

The Wojcicki family appreciates the outpouring of support and requests privacy as they navigate this difficult time. They want to honor Marco’s memory by celebrating his life and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
