‘Folklore’ Collaborators to Join Taylor Swift at Grammys

Through a combination of kickin’ tunes and a guerilla release tactic, Taylor Swift’s album “Folklore” took the charts by storm when it released back in July. Since then, “Folklore” has become something of a keystone project for Swift, inspiring an entire documentary detailing its inception and the work Swift put into it. Of course, it wasn’t all her; her close friends and collaborators, Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, were a big factor in making that album happen, and so it seems only right that they get a piece of the pie it baked.


This Sunday, the the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards are set to air (socially distanced, of course), where Swift is up for six awards, including Album of the Year. Swift is scheduled to perform during the ceremony, and last night, she announced that Dessner and Antonoff would be joining her.

“The one thing I can tell you about my Grammy performance that isn’t highly confidential is that my Grammy performance includes my collaborators, Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff,” Swift said in the announcement.

“Which is really exciting because this has been an adventure that the three of us have gone on since the very beginning of quarantine and lockdown,” she continued. “And you know, we’ve only gotten to be together in the same room once. And so, this is really awesome to get to be together with them again.”

In preparation for the performance, Swift, Dessner, and Antonoff have all been quarantining together in the same house, as well as getting tested for COVID-19 daily. “So it’s just really exciting, honestly, to play music with your collaborators,” Swift added. “That’s something that I will never, ever take for granted again.
