Actor and musician Drake Bell has come forward with allegations of sexual abuse against Brian Peck, a dialogue coach with whom he worked on the Nickelodeon series “The Amanda Show.” Bell will share his story in the upcoming Investigation Discovery docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” which is scheduled to premiere on March 17.

Peck, 63, was convicted in 2004 for his crimes against Bell and was ordered to register as a sex offender. The charges against Peck included oral copulation with a minor under 16 and performing a lewd act with a 14- or 15-year-old. He spent 16 months in prison as a result of his conviction.

Bell’s allegations against Peck shed light on the dark side of the entertainment industry, particularly concerning the exploitation of child actors. The courage to speak out about his experiences aims to bring attention to the issue of sexual abuse and provide support for survivors.

In response to these allegations, representatives for Bell, Peck, and Nickelodeon have been contacted for comment. The revelations about Peck’s past behavior have prompted discussions among his former colleagues, including stars of “Boy Meets World,” who have expressed remorse for initially siding with Peck.

“It’s awful. I’m going to use that for my growth as a human being, but when there’s an actual victim involved and now I’m on the abuser’s side, that’s the thing I can’t get over and haven’t been able to get over,” said Will Friedle, one of Peck’s former co-stars.

As awareness grows about the prevalence of sexual abuse in the entertainment industry, Bell’s decision to share his story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting survivors and holding perpetrators accountable.
