Watson is making a comeback after a long suspension.

Back in August, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was suspended from play due to violations of the NFL’s personal conduct policies. Watson was under suspicion of engaging in sexual misconduct while traveling with the team, with over two dozen legal complaints from various women leveled against him. The majority of these complaints were settled out of court, and Watson was not slapped with criminal charges.

After his lengthy suspension, Watson is set to return to his position next week, and his fellow players are getting excited to have him back.

“We’re all excited,” said Browns running back Nick Chubb. “We’ve waited a long time for him to come back.”

“He’s special – he’s a playmaker,” Chubb added. “He puts the ball exactly where he needs it go. Guys like that. Guys are excited.”

“He’s a great player,” Browns cornerback Denzel Ward said of Watson. “You can’t go wrong with great players.”

“There’s an excitement, for sure,” Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah said. “We know what he can do with what we’ve seen so far. So looking forward to seeing him [play].”

Watson has still been present at team meetings during his suspension and was permitted to use training facilities. He rejoined regular team practices on November 16, so his teammates know how hard he’s been practicing for his return.
