Deion Sanders is once again making headlines. However, this time it’s not because of flashy play or a locker-room speech. The head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes has gone viral for laying down some strict dress code rules for his players.

In a recent team meeting, Sanders reminded his players that being a student-athlete is about more than just showing up on the field. He wants his kids to always be prepared and presentable so they can take full advantage.

His message was crystal clear:

“No slides,” Sanders told his players. “If I see you wearing them on campus, it’s going to be a problem. Hoodies pulled up in class? Problem. Headphones in class? Problem. Sitting in the back? That’s a problem too.”

He also said that if players take online classes, they must remember that showing up shirtless or in any kind of distracting clothing wouldn’t be tolerated.

It’s no surprise coming from Sanders. He has followed this motto in his life: “If you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good. If you play good, they pay good.”

The viral clip of Deion Sanders has drawn mixed reactions from fans. Some have applauded the discipline, saying Sanders is trying to teach precious life lessons beyond football. Others feel that it’s a bit old-school. Well, nobody can deny that Sanders always knows how to grab the attention of the audience.

As Sanders starts his third season with Colorado, he faces big challenges. His star players, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and all-rounder Travis Hunter, are now in the NFL. That means the Buffaloes will need a new identity. But one thing is sure: staying prepared and presentable is a must under Coach Prime.
