Chuck E. Cheese Plans a Game Show for Adults
Chuck E. Cheese Taking it Up a Notch!
Chuck E. Cheese, known for its family-friendly entertainment, is stepping up its game with a new venture targeted at adults. The company has partnered with Magical Elves, a reality show production company, to create a reality television show where adults will compete in oversized versions of arcade classics like pinball, air hockey, and the claw machine.
Participants in the show will compete head-to-head, with winners earning tickets that can be exchanged for prizes from the famous Chuck E. Cheese prize wall—this time in super-sized versions.
“Chuck E. Cheese is the place where a kid can be a kid—but as grown adults, we still have dreams of ruling the arcade, taking on the iconic games we love,” said Magical Elves co-CEOs Jo Sharon and Casey Kriley in a joint statement. “We’re excited to celebrate these legendary arcade games, plus the best of today, all with a super-sized twist.”

The project, facilitated by Creative Artists Agency, falls under Chuck E. Cheese’s new global licensing, media, and entertainment division.
This announcement comes at a time when Chuck E. Cheese’s parent company, CEC Entertainment, has been working on a restructuring plan with Goldman Sachs to attract potential buyers and investors. The anticipated deal could potentially fetch around $1.2 billion. Previously, the chain, which was acquired by Apollo Global Management for $1.3 billion in 2014, emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December 2020 through a financial restructuring.
Chuck E. Cheese’s expansion into reality television for adults marks an innovative move for the company, blending nostalgia with contemporary entertainment in a unique way.
