Give celebs an inch, and they’ll take a mile, apparently.

In an act of goodwill, American model and cooking entrepreneur Chrissy Teigen sent care packages to a couple of her celeb buddies. These boxes, branded with her cooking brand Cravings, contained things like designer cookware and cookbooks. Ali Wong, Shay Mitchell, and others showed their Cravings boxes on their personal Instagrams, and good times were had by all. At least, good times were had until a bunch of other celebs started hounding Chrissy for boxes of their own. While she didn’t name names, Chrissy wrote a quick callout post on her Instagram.

“Please don’t ask for a box. My marketing budget is not infinite but my love for you is. Also I see some of u asking and you’re literally rich,” the now-deleted post read.

In a follow-up video on her Instagram Stories, she clarified that the comment was “honestly just meant for my friends that are literally writing, saying, ‘Uh, mine hasn’t gotten here yet.’” She went on to stress that as much as she wants to spread goodwill, her brand isn’t large enough to facilitate a mass delivery. “What do you want from me? We’re tiny. We’re small,” she said. “I know it looks like everything is just easy, but I promise…you’re gonna be ok.”

Chrissy has stressed that more boxes will go out (though I imagine she’ll be less inclined to send one to a select few), and that she will hold a giveaway soon for regular fans, though the ongoing pandemic has obviously stifled these efforts somewhat.
