Brooke Shields reveals the behind-the-scenes moment that had everyone in tears!

Brooke Shields recently took us on a wild ride down Friends memory lane, sharing a story that proves she’s not just an actress but a comedy legend in her own right. While guest-starring as Joey’s stalker Erika, Brooke was determined to crack the Friends cast’s tough crowd, and she had a brilliant (and slightly insane) idea: imitate one of Matthew Perry’s signature gags.

Apparently, Perry had a move where he’d dramatically throw himself on the floor in front of a girl, pretending to peek up her skirt. Sounds like something you definitely can’t get away with today. But Brooke, ever the overachiever, decided to give it a go.

“I ran across the stage, dove to the ground, and pretended to look up his pant leg,” Brooke recalled. “Everyone was silent, and I thought, ‘Well, this is it. I’ve ruined my career and my knees.’”

After what felt like an eternity, Perry finally burst out laughing, followed by the rest of the cast. “How did you know to do that?” he asked. Brooke’s response? “I’ve been watching you—thank you for the inspiration!”

Of course, there were consequences: “Rug burns on my knees… worth it.”

It’s a perfect reminder that Brooke’s sense of humor is just as legendary as her acting, and a little bit of carpet burn never hurt anyone—except maybe her knees.
