Dave Bautista Adopts an Adorable Dog Thanks to Chris Pratt and Millie Bobbie Brown
Dave Bautista recently opened his heart and home to a pit bull puppy named Talulah. Bautista, who already owns four pit bulls, was inspired to adopt Talulah when a familiar name popped up in a text message from his “Guardians of the Galaxy” co-star, Chris Pratt.
In a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show,” Bautista shared the story of how he came to own Talulah. Pratt, who was aware of Bautista’s love for the breed, reached out about a puppy that was up for adoption. The twist? The puppy was being cared for by none other than “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown, Bautista’s co-star in the upcoming Russo Brothers film, “The Electric State.”
After seeing a picture of Talulah, Bautista was instantly smitten. “I just fell in love with her,” he admitted. Despite already having three dogs, Bautista agreed to adopt Talulah.
“It sounds weird to me when I say, ‘Chris Pratt hit me up and I got my dog, you know, from Millie Bobby Brown,'” Bautista said with a laugh. “I sound super Hollywood.”
Talulah’s arrival was an unexpected midnight visit from two sweaty delivery men, who drove the puppy from Atlanta to Bautista’s home in Rome. Bautista graciously offered them rest, food, and a place to stay, but they were on a tight schedule with more drop-offs to make.
Although Bautista hasn’t yet had the pleasure of meeting Millie Bobby Brown in person, he appreciates her connection with Talulah. “Millie named her Talulah, and I just thought it was so special that Millie named her, so we kept her name,” he said. “My ex-wife adopted her littermate, her little sister, so we have Talulah and Delilah.”
Brown, known for her work with animal shelters and her eclectic mix of pets, was pleased to hear of Talulah’s new home. “I’m thrilled that Talulah has found a loving family with Dave Bautista,” Brown said in a statement. “It warms my heart to know that she is in good hands.”
Bautista and Talulah are enjoying their time together, and the actor is grateful to Pratt and Brown for facilitating the adoption. “It was such a kind gesture,” he said. “I’m so happy to have Talulah in my life.”
