A Phillies fan’s sweet father-son moment turned chaotic when a woman snatched their home run ball. The identity of that woman is still a mystery despite a $5,000 reward.

What should have been a fun memory at a Phillies game has now become one of the craziest viral stories of baseball. A woman, known online as “Phillies Karen,” was filmed taking a home run ball from a young fan. Within a few minutes, clips of this heated moment spread online, and now the internet has not stopped talking about it since.

It all happened in Miami when Phillies fan Drew Feltwell caught a home run hit by center fielder Harrison Bader. Like any proud dad, he slipped the ball into the glove of his son, whose name was Lincoln. The father thought it would be a special moment they’d remember forever. However, before they could even celebrate the moment, a woman rushed over and shouted loudly, “That’s my ball!” and asked them to give it back to her.

Feltwell says he didn’t want things to get ugly in front of his son; therefore, he gave the ball to that lady. He explained, “I had to either argue and make things worse, or show my son how to stay calm.” Lincoln wasn’t happy, but thanks to the Marlins, who gave him a gift bag. And Bader himself later handed him a signed bat.

Meanwhile, the woman instantly became a villain online. Fans started calling her “Phillies Karen.” Internet detectives went wild and started figuring out who she is. Unfortunately, many innocent women were wrongly accused before clearing their names. So far, every lead has turned out false.

To make things even stranger, sports collectibles company Blowout Cards gave an offer of $5,000 for the ball. However, the company demanded that “Phillies Karen” sign it with the words “I’m sorry” before returning the ball to Lincoln.

The Savannah Bananas has even created a funny version of this story. However, Feltwell thinks that it’s gone far enough. “Please don’t go after her,” he said. “The internet has already done plenty.”
